Contributors approach the climate crisis as a problem of political economy rather than of individual behaviour: capitalism and the climate crisis in Canada, the gendered distribution of greenhouse gas emissions, systemic barriers to decarbonization, water and development in the Pantanal and the Upper Paraguay River Basin, mitigation and development in Brazil, and open-pit copper mining on the edge of a British Columbia city. The Interventions section gathers interviews on localism, urban space and Indigenous perspectives.
