Red Quill Books is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with “Alternate Routes: A Journal of Critical Social Research” to publish the journal annually. The current issue “Saving Global Capitalism: Interrogating Austerity and Working Class Reponses to Crises” (edited by: Carlo Fanelli, Chris Hurl, Priscillia Lefebvre, & Gülden Özcan) will appear as a Red Quill book by the of this month.
Pubished since 1977, Alternate Routes is a peer-reviewed student-faculty journal (see www.alternateroutes.ca) based out of Carleton University’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology. The Editorial Collective works closely with international scholars, labour organizers and social justice activists, publishing non-traditional, provocative and radical analyses that may not find a forum in conventional academic or mainstream venues.
